Vipassana, meditation was taught in India more than 2500 years ago as a universal rememdy for universal ills, an Art of Living.
In the Blue Mountains outside Sydney there is a Vipassana Meditation Centre called Dhamma Bhumi. That’s where I’m heading today — ten days of meditation, no talk and simple food.

When I read about stuff like this I have to laugh. If I allowed myself to get angry (which is easy to do) then I might write something cynical and nasty and small-minded — so I won’t do that.
What I will do is wish them well and hope the universe dumps a BIG packet of smelly stuff on the mixed-up head of their mother.
Singers Lamb and Lynx Gaede may look like Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, but their songs send a message of White Nationalism that some call dangerous says ABC News.
These thirteen-year-old twins have one album out, another on the way, a music video, and lots of fans. But even though they may remind you of the Olsen Twins — Lamb and Lynx (with the help of their mother) use their talents to preach a message of hate.

I bought my Panasonic Lumix FZ5 camera back in August in preparation for a trip to Tibet. My wife had been there for a few months teaching spoken English at a monastery school in Ganzi and I was heading off to meet up with her.

After living in Ganzi for two months my wife found no evidence of trouble or animosity between Tibetans and Chinese. Considering there where bombings and a huge Chinese crackdown in Ganzi only three years ago she was surprised and pleased to find what seemed like a harmonious, thriving and tolerant society. The only gripes she heard were along the lines of Tibetans wanting more of a say at the local government level.
