Kangding to Ganzi

September 28th, 2008 Comments Off

I came across an article a few hours ago — partially about travelling from Chengdu to Ganzi. I enjoyed the writing and the descriptions and it made me smile as I remembered last year when I made the same trip.

I was on a public bus — about 6 hour out of Kangding and as we drove into the court yard I remember thinking we still had 6 hours to go. We’d stopped for lunch at this hole-in-the-wall cafe sort of place and I decided to have a walk and take some snaps instead of lunching. I had water and I’d been snacking on the fruit and biscuits I’d brought with me, so I wasn’t hungry.

Theres another love in my life

Dogs have come and gone in my life but they have always been big dogs — Airedales and GSPs mostly. I never thought I’d EVER connect with a miniature poodle, especially one that’s all-tizzed-up to the nines. This one is special though. Her name is Toots!
