A British research team has observed some of the biggest sea swells ever measured. A whole series of giant waves that were so big, they shouldn’t even exist. Link.

    I believe wave heights that match or possibly exceed those recorded off Scotland have been recorded off the British Columbia coast by weather buoys anchored well out at sea. If memory serves I think it may have been in excess of 100 feet.

August 1959 Article on OCEAN WAVES, the USS Ramapo encountered a 112 foot wave in 1933. The waves ecountered in this story were VERY Large, but not the largest…….

    Thanks Bob — sounds like the mainstream media (and me) are making more of this than it deserves. I suppose the whole Global Warming thing will continue to produce alarmist (sensationalised) headlines as time goes by…
